PS3 recoil and vehicles in the lobby
- Pre-Season 3 recoil profile enabled, with its aiming and camera settings. Damage and fire rates unchanged.
- Vehicles back in the waiting lobby: without keys, they break through barriers. Keys do not carry over into the match.
- More weapons, helmets, Military Backpacks and healing items in houses and camps.

What is ROTK?
ROTK (Return of the King) is a free, volunteer-run fan project that brings H1Z1 back to life: the team recreates the game's servers so the battle royale can be played again, in the spirit of Pre-Season 3.
Is ROTK free?
Yes. The team has committed to never charging for access. You only need to own Z1 Battle Royale on Steam.
How do I play ROTK?
Sign in with Steam on rotk.app, generate your game key, then install the official launcher. The full guide is on the "How to play ROTK" page.
How much damage does the AK-47 do in ROTK?
Since v1.3.105 (September 13, 2026), the AK-47 deals 24 body damage without armor (down from 30), with 155 ms between shots.
How many points do you need for Royalty in ROTK?
You need 1,800,000 points to reach Royalty V, and 1,900,000 for Royalty I. The score adds up your 10 best matches: a win is worth 175,000 points and each kill 1,000. Royalty therefore equals about 10 wins with 5 kills each.
What is the difference between ROTK and ZEmu?
They are two independent projects. ZEmu aims to recreate Pre-Season 3 exactly; ROTK offers its own version of H1Z1 inspired by Pre-Season 3.
